Cult Nails Deal With It

Deal With It is a new color from the Untamed Collection created by Coco who is the daughter of Cult Nails creator Maria. Wow mouth full there. She turned 13 on the 11th and celebrated by launching her very first polish collection. Seriously I wish I could say I have done something cool even now! She is definitely super talented and has a true talent for polish creation just like her mother. It seriously must be in their DNA because those two can do no wrong when it comes to nail polish.

Deal with it is a gorgeous lime green with a beautiful gold shimmer. It kinda reminds me of like an ectoplasm green but yeah I am just weird like that. This color is so bright and looks like it is lit from within with all that shimmer. I could not stop staring at my nails because the closer you get the more glittery it gets and it just is gorgeous! It is a little on the sheer side but it is perfect in three coats and applies like buttah! It can dry a little on the flat/matte side of things but a coat of Seche Vite shined it right up. I don't have one bad thing to say about this polish except for if you don't like it you can just "Deal With It."

Bundle Monster Set 3 Stamping Challenge Day 1

Soguesswhat11 one of my favorite people on Youtube that has the best stamping tutorials for nails is having a fun challenge on her facebook page. It started yesterday and the challenge is each day to create a design using one of the plates from the new Bundle Monster set. The challenge will go in order of the plates so day one use plate 301, day 2 use plate 302, etc. I think this will be a fun challenge and a way to get me to use all my plates at least once in the next month.

Here is my day one plate 301 design.  Colors used are Julep Reese, China Glaze Liquid Leather, Sally Hansen Platinum and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Whirl Wind White. I used the gradient image and the keys image to go for a Juicy Couture-ish design.

Julep's Daphne

I am just going to start off with what is really bothering me and that is this nail polish. It is so far from the color it was advertised as on their website that really it should be false advertising. I added this as an add-on to my Julep Maven box this month and it is a serious disappointment. It is a lovely color for what it is but it is not the polish that I wanted when I added it my box. The color on the website is a soft light green/minty creme polish. Julep's description of the polish is a "fresh seafoam green creme" which doesn't fit the description of the bottle I am holding.

As for the nail polish that I actually got it is a medium dusty green/teal creme. The formula is a little on the watery side but it was still pretty easy to work with and was opaque in two coats. Pictures are shown with two coats of Daphne and one coat of Seche Vite. As for the wear of this it wasn't so great. I had chipping the next day and the nail polish came off my nail in a full sheet off my thumb. I didn't use a base coat but still this doesn't seem normal to me.

I emailed their customer service to tell them that the color I got was a lot different than what was advertised and I wasn't too happy with it and they were great by saying they would send me a different color of my choice.  What I wasn't too happy with was their answer to the color difference which was: "We sincerely apologize for any dissatisfaction with the color. Image color can differ than actual product color, depending on the resolution of computer screen, lighting, etc"

Now I know color can vary from the computer to in person a little but this color was shown as a light color and I received a dark color so I will let you guys be the judge.

This is what the color was supposed to look like:

Picture of the bottle taken from the Julep website.
Here is the actual color I got on my hands and in the bottle.

And for fun a little nail stamping fail.

Avon Sunshine

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!!! I didn't actually do a themed mani I just went with something cheery and happy! So this is my second Avon polish that I got when I purchased Absinthe and I am enjoying this one a whole heck of a lot better! For one thing it is actually true to the color as it was in Avon book and also yellows just really make me happy :)

Sunshine is a bright yellow creme polish. It goes on a little thick so I needed to apply three coats to fix the streaking and dragging. I have noticed that these Avon colors thicken a lot while you are painting your nails with each coat seeming to get stickier. Even with the problems I think it still turned out really nice and it is really a beautiful polish if you have patience.

I also just got the new set of Bundle Monster plates and decided to add some stamping. I used plate #318 for my manicure below!
